Removal and installation of my new hot water heater While doing work let dirty water drip all the way down 2 flights of stairs staining all the carpet. Then after work, a leak started. I called them and no show to fix it. All they said was shut water off and will come next day. I shut water off and found what caused it While they did the work they made a water drip line come out. This did damage to ceilings and walls to rooms under it When I told them what I found he said it's not his fault and must have happen when they lifted something up on ac Then he said he is not coming back to take care of damages they caused And was very rude about it all. Please help me I'm living on disability Resolution Sought They pay to have what they damaged fixed Get some estimates then give me money needed

Company Response

Company states; First off customer bought wrong water heater, took it back to the store for him on my own gas and time. Customer provided a bag to put around old water heater before we carried it downstairs, which we did. Come to find out bag provided by customer must have had a hole in it. Which we didn't know until we got done carrying it out... customer made statement don't worry about rug, it's "50 years old" only water came out of tank so it cleaned right up. Sounds like he's trying to replace his 50 year old rugs for free..So he provided a bad bad not our fault. As far as the leak, that's the HVAC company's fault who ever did that job. If the drain hose came out that easy without us even noticing it's not my fault. Those hoses should never come out therefore it wasn't secured properly from the HVAC company. If we saw it at the time we would have fixed it. When we gave him bill he said will you give me discount so we gave him $50 dollars off. This notice says he's living off disability but before we left he said he was going back to work.
