UPDATED 10/24/22: After reviewing the inquiry and conducting a thorough investigation, the payment history reflects that Ms. Cookstrom missed an contractual payment in August 2022. On September 15, 2022, we received $400.00, but these funds were placed in unapplied because they were not enough to post the full August 2022 payment in the amount of $1,619.33. We then received $1,620.00 in two transactions on September 30, 2022. On October 4, 2022, we posted the August 2022 payment effective September 30, 2022. Our records show that Ms. Cookstrom was advised on Sept. 15, 2022 that we are unable to offer any loss mitigation assistance until the loan becomes 60 days delinquent. She applied for HAF funds to bring the loan current on Sept. 26, 2022 and her request was approved on Oct. 17, 2022. We received $6,310.28 on Oct. 18, 2022 and these funds were used to post the Sept through Dec 2022 payments, each in the amount of $1,619.33, effective Oct 17, 2022. As of the date of this letter, the loan is current and due for the Jan. 2023 payment in the amount of $1,619.33. We take our customer service very seriously and we sincerely apologize for any non-responsiveness that you have faced. We appreciate your feedback as we strive to improve in this area. Please be advised that the information we reported to the credit reporting agencies is correct. If the credit report contains different or older information, we apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing; sometimes it take several weeks for a loan servicer's information to be included in a credit report. BSI must report accurate and truthful information to all credit reporting agencies. BSI reports credit data to the following credit repositories: Equifax, Experian, TransUnion and Innovis. Therefore, we are only able to validate information appearing on reports produced by these agencies. if you need additional information to assist you in obtaining an official credit report and initiating a dispute through these agencies, information is available directly from their websites or through the Federal Trade Commission website, which offers consumer resources at www.consumer.ftc.gov Ms. Crookstrom will need to discuss any further issues or concerns with the credit reporting regarding this account with the credit reporting agencies.
