The buckeye Cable company started a tremendous or deal with me concerning being late of a approximately $22 this led to confusion that rolled over into every single month thereafter a total of 4 months I paid $38 and some change on a normal bill of $39 which already was overpriced $40 a month is ridiculous and then somehow ended up $22 behind which they never released they never discussed it thoroughly enough with me and after speaking with a supervisor I was told it would have been corrected it had been adjusted it had been dealt with and the following month I was right back in the hole each time I talk with someone it was just the same nonsense over and over again and the record shows everything to substantiate what I actually did and what I've been through and because they are running a monopoly in the Toledo Ohio area they essentially snubbed me and told me deal with it or do without there was no loyalty programs there was no sympathy for the elderly and there was no good feelings over charging $40 a month for $10 service which they now want to offer at $19 and the entire time arguing with me about overpriced internet service only that's right I said internet service only so it becomes apparent that the problem in Toledo area is buckeye Cable system has no competition and when it comes down to people whose eyes are not in the public view AKA parents of children with internet service then there are no outside eyes watching the buckeye Cable system for regular customers Resolution Sought I want internet service at a reasonable price and respect from service agents. My bill was shut down at $103. 3 months after that my bill was $325. And they talk to me like I'm some kind of crook there should be a lawsuit going on

In reviewing the account it appears he was in continual nonpay from the start of the relationship. Specifically—he did not pay his first bill (issued on 05.28.2021). For June 2021 he was billed $63.47 for services. He short-paid ($30.72), so the next bill had a past due amount of $32.72 and a total amount due of $97.44. Then he paid $40.00, so on his next bill he had past due amount of $55.16 and total amount of $103.88. He made no payment on that amount, so for the bill issued at the end of 9/2021 he had a past due of $103.88 and total amount of $145.76. He then paid $38.32, leaving a past due of $107.44 and a total amount of $250.93, because he incurred a $75.00 usage fee for exceeding his data allowance. His account was disconnected on 10.27.2021 but did not return his modem, so his current amount due is $326.48 (which includes $110.00 for the modem). When we spoke to the customer about the past-due amounts, he stated that he will not pay us anything because we charge too much for services, and he stated he would not return the modem but that we should come get it because "it is taking up" his room. Buckeye has scheduled a visit to pick up the modem today between 12 p.m and 2 p.m.

My issues were not resolved and I am not satisfied I found other resources buckeye Cable company or charlatans! With bully like practices, along with being the only cable service in Lucas county area this is a tragedy and it has not been resolved and I am not satisfied!

Mr. Samuel continues to have an unpaid balance ($74.51) even after Buckeye has issued him numerous courtesy credits. With respect to his claim that Buckeye is a monopoly: this is simply not true. First, under federal and state law no cable or internet company can hold a monopoly: any potential provider can come in to provide service if it is willing to invest in the community to build and maintain the wires that deliver services. If some provider is not available in a given area, it is because that provider is unwilling to make the same community investment Buckeye has and to spend the money needed to deliver service. Second, other companies have in fact made this investment. Satellite, wireless, and DSL providers are active across the entire state of Ohio. According to FCC data, Buckeye's service footprint is served by numerous providers that offer phone, video, and at least broadband (25/3mbps) internet; for example, AT&T is available at the customer's address. In this case, the customer chose to buy services from Buckeye. He now refuses to pay the amount due for the services that he requested and accepted.

I had a payment said to be refunded to me on 7/9 after phone call was placed to Buckeye regarding overpayment. Buckeye advised payment was sent back to me 7/27. On 8/4/2021 it was verified with a representative that said refund never processed as she reviewed Buckeye's Bank Ledger with Directions CU. I was advised a tracer was placed on acct to investigate details of payment and why it has not been received to date. This payment was made 7/9 it has been 3 Mos and I have heard nothing regarding my refund however they are calling me multiple times a day for me payment on my acct. A dispute has been placed with my bank as well as they have not received the funds. Resolution Sought I would like the Refund that is due to me

According to notes on the account Buckeye did not reverse any charges on her account; however, it appears that on or around 9/7/21 her bank did reverse a charge of $100 and that Buckeye mentioned this distinction to the customer on several occasions. At this point, the customer owes us approximately $447 dollars on her account.
