Customer Complaint

Consumer alleges: I told him that my car stopped running in the middle of the road after he did repairs. I dropped off my car again on Oct. 19, 2023. Now he will not release my car and is asking for more money. He only told me last week that my previous repairs were not under warranty. He hasn't even started the repairs. He is messing with me and his son told me that his dad will not fix my car because I owe a balance. He is asking me for another $2,000.00 He didn't repair my car correctly the first time, and he should be making the repairs under warranty. Per CA law he is supposed to contact me to tell me if other repairs need to be done and I have the right to agree to the repairs or not. Now, my car is missing and he will not tell me where it is. Resolution Sought Repair my car correctly under warranty. I should not owe anymore money.

She has NO warranty on the car. Even with no warranty, I was willing to help her but she was not responsive to my phone calls or messages. she was always hanging up on me. She pretty much wanted something for nothing. Also, owes me a balance of $495 and I was still willing to help her. At this point, I'm still willing to offer a partial refund of $1,000 to help her out. However, she needs to personally come and respectfully talk to me, Mark Nelson, she needs to also bring all her invoices and sign off release of liability.

Customer Rebuttal

Everything that was stated in the response is a complete lie, and in my dealings with Mr. Nelson in regards to him not making any repairs after I paid him $2500. I don't owe him $495, especially after the damages he sustained to my vehicle while not making any repairs to my transmission both times he had my vehicle in Feb and Oct 17-Nov 17, 2023. For him to have the audacity to ask for $495 for a job he did not do is ridiculous, then to ask me for another $2000 after he didn't make any repairs is ridiculous to me. I refuse to accept his offer of a $1000 to repair the transmission because what are the chances that he is going to fix it at all. I refuse to sign off on the liability because I did have a warranty and all of a sudden because I didn't pay him which he never called me to collect a payment from the time I received my care to the first time in Feb upon until 2 weeks before I had to forcibly had my care returned to me by the LA police on 11/17/23. The experience has bee unsatisfactory, and for this reason I will be suing him for $2500 and the damages that he sustained to my vehicle while it was in his possession.

Company Final Response

Why would I have to call the customer to collect money? Adults have to be responsible for themselves. The customer only had a 90 warranty on the vehilce, and she brought the car in 9 months later. She never wanted to sign the invoice and she never accepted responsibility. She just came in and never spoke with me directly. She was accusing us of driving her car. I would not do any work on the car because she would not respond to me. I do not owe her a dime. If the customer wants to go to court, we can do that.
