Last year I bought a used vehicle from this company. There were major issues from the beginning. The engine light came on several days after I purchased it. When I went back to them, they said it was the catalytic converter. They replaced it with a supposedly new one. Engine light came back on shortly after. They put in another one. They charged me $600. Engine light came back on shortly after. I went to another auto service. They told me it was the converter and the sensor. I was told that a "cheater sensor" was put on to keep the engine light from coming on. I told Burgio about this and they told me they had fired the mechanic that did this. They did reimburse me for the new converter and sensor. After that the engine light kept continuously coming on. I continued to have many more repairs including, but not limited to a cylinder head, head gasket , fuel pump, overheating issues, and cooling issues. I spent thousands more on repairs than I paid for the vehicle. Finally the engine blew. Not I don't have a vehicle and am in thousands of dollars in debt fir the car and all the repairs. Resolution Sought I would like at least the amount I paid for the car.

Company Response

Patricia purchased this vehicle from us well over a year ago on July 17, 2023. There was an issue with passing emissions after the sale but that issue was corrected. The vehicle did pass emissions as she was able to get it registered. Burgio Motors does not have any mechanics employed; we use 3rd party mechanics and outsource 100 of our work. Cars in Colorado are sold as is. However; I always try to help our customers after the sale and have helped her where I could. I was not aware of the repairs before they happened, only after, and at that point, I could not help source affordable repairs or offer to look at it. I truly hate selling a bad car or when a car becomes an issue for our customers. I am sorry Patricia is having troubles with her car. I am not going to reimburse her for the cost of the car. Sincerely, Ray Burgio

Burgio is saying he does not have any mechanics employed. When I went to another mechanic I was told a "cheater sensor" was put on to keep the engine light from coming on. I still have the device that was put on in my possession. He absolutely told me that he had fired his mechanic for doing that. How can you fire a mechanic that you don't have?

We don’t have any mechanics. Ww are a car lot: Hence why they’re all separate companies, you can fire someone from doing business with. Her car did ultimately pass emissions
