We had a pole barn built several years ago. There is a long piece of metal on ridge of the roof that is bent up, for lack of screws in the metal. This is around 20 ft up. We have asked him to come out and put screws in the metal. He said no. His ad reads... look into Metal Roofing, which comes with our 40 year - Lifetime Warranty. He said that's for paint. His ad is for roofing. Not paint or the metal he is using. Another section of his ad says...choose our standard metal roof with a 40 year warranty that will outlast about two shingle roofs. That doesn't sound like paint on the metal. Resolution Sought Put screws in the metal.

This complaint is regarding work that was done more than 10 years ago. There was never any warranty expressed or implied at the time of the sale. The 40 year warranty that is referenced in the complaint is a manufacturer warranty. The customer purchased their materials directly and we simply did the install, so they need to contact the supplier if there is an issue with the product.
