On October 29, 2021 I received my Covid19 Rent Relief Check for $7,400.00 i tried every bank in Modesto Ca no one would cash it. Then I knew it was getting late so I walked in to 1800 Prescott Rd. Location asked the girl behind the counter how much to cash check she said 3 I said ok that would be fine. Then after she called to talk to speak with her supervisor she said her supervisor told her 11. . Wow I could not believe it but I did not want to get kicked out on street so I took what was left to give to my landlord borrowed the remainder of the money from my father. This entire situation has cost me more and more money a lot of stress and they can not even return none of my phone calls , emails, and I sent a legal form demanding payment Fedex still no reply. I even remember an incident where I was inside of California Check cashing and the girl who worked there was giving me copies of my transaction. When the supervisor asked her what she was doing she just laughed and walked out the doors. How can they get away with this? Resolution Sought $2,721.08 + $35.00=$2756.08 I believe this is a fair amount for it being over a year now. I believe I read they could be charged over 6 times the amount owed. If I was asking for 6 times the amount it would be $3,740 so I'm not being greedy I am being fair. I really would like the money by January 2,2023 but not sure if that can happen. Thank You
