Terrible wines that are overpriced and customer relations that Stink!
We were members for years but had to give up on our membership. I recently lost my job and when I tried to cancel our membership in an attempt to cut back on expenses they told me it was too late and they could not refund me for the latest shipment. I was a few days past the quarterly billing date, but I thought they might help me out considering we were a "never ship" subscription and always picked it up. I mean the wine is really still just in their stock so reversing the changes would be simple right? No way they refused and sited their terms and conditions. Well that is fine for business but no so good for consumers or public relations. Our cancelation though forced by my layoff was a long time coming anyway. All of friends had long since flocked to other wineries such as Wiens that are producing far superior wines compared to Callaway. We decided they were right and were the last ones to leave. We were paying $40 or more per bottle AFTER the member discount for wine that we were not enjoying. When we went there for tasting we struggled to even find something that was acceptable. I don't understand how they went so far off the rails in a few years on the quality of wine they produce. After all the other locals are using grapes from the same region, but their results far exceed what is coming out of Callaway. Take a pass on this one and take your chances down the road especially given their heartless approach to customer relations.
