I need help getting out of my contract with Capital Vacations. Dealing with this company has caused me nothing but stress and anxiety because of the way they twist facts and pressure people into purchasing. When I first bought into the program, the sales team convinced me to purchase RCI points by telling me it would guarantee me a permanent Platinum membership status. They completely left out the fact that this status was tied to a separate company entirely and was not an actual Capital tier. When I asked about it later, another employee told me that using the points the way the sales team told me to could actually get me into trouble, which proved I was completely misled from day one. The main reason I agreed to upgrade my account in July 2023 was because my sales rep, Leon Green, promised me that my high credit score would make it easy to quickly refinance the loan at a much lower interest rate. That turned out to be completely false. Every time I reached out to get help with the refinancing, I was ignored, only to find out later that the rep had been fired. They used unrealistic financial promises just to pressure me into a huge loan they knew I could not afford. When I finally got in touch with their finance dept. to complain about being lied to, they did not care at all. Instead of trying to fix the situation, a representative named CJ cornered me with a massive sixty-thousand-dollar settlement offer and told me I had to pay it that exact same day. We have experienced deceptive sales tactics and high-pressure manipulation from Capital Vacations. This whole deal was built on a foundation of lies and hidden costs that were never explained to us, and it has created an impossible financial burden for our family. During the sales pitch, their recording devices so they could make promises about about financial benefits that turned out to be completely false. By disabling the equipment, they were able to feed us misinformation without any record of it. Now we're stuck with a $999 monthly mortgage plus maintenance fees that keep goin up, leaving us with no money for basic necessities, let alone the travel they promised. When we talked to the Finance Department, their only fix was to cancel our last upgrade and put us back on our ol contract. We've already paid around $47.000 for that old agreemen, and simply reverting us to a "paid in full' status doesn't solve anything. It just ignores our concerns and keep us trapped in a cycle of high-pressure meetings and constant pushes for more upgrades. We did bring up that if we were reverted to the old contract would we then be eligible for a termination and we received a response back stating we still could not get out. We've lost all trust in this company and just want to the relationship entirely with our money back. We need an actual exit option that addresses the fact that we were misled we need to know if a total break is on the table, because we can't keep living with this. Resolution Sought Our desired outcome is to terminate our timeshare ownership with Capital Vacations.

Customer Rebuttal

We are not satisfied with Capital Vacations’ response. They completely ignored the actual issue we raised, which is the deceptive sales tactics, misrepresentation, and high-pressure manipulation we have experienced.. During our presentation, their sales team went so far as to disable recording devices so they could make financial promises they never intended to keep. Instead of taking responsibility for selling us a contract based on lies and hidden costs, Capital Vacations keeps trying to shove us into their standard exit process even though this deal was built on false pretenses. It should be completely void. We are done being passed around and ignored. We expect a complete, unconditional cancellation of our agreement with Capital Vacations, releasing us from all financial obligations without any further runaround.
