I am filing this complaint against Capital Vacations because their cancellation policies are unfair and unreasonable. We contacted them to cancel but were told we have to pay off the entire loan and fees to get out of the contract. We haven't used the timeshare since December 2024 and can't afford it anymore now that my wife is retired. We were pressured into buying it during a very long, high-pressure sales pitch. It caused us significant financial stress. We want Capital Vacations to cancel our contract completely and refund the money we've paid so far. We are seeking a fair solution that doesn't involve paying the full outstanding debt for something we don't use and were pressured into buying. Resolution Sought Contract cancellation

We are to hear about the Lopez family’s experience with Capital Vacation being less than satisfactory. We attempted to call the Lopez family on December 3, 2025, to address their concerns, but we were unable to make contact. Capital Vacations does not offer a program where owners can walk away from their legally binding contract, however there are options that the financial services department can offer. If the Lopez family would like to look into these options, they can contact our Financial Services team at 833-849-0301, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) and they will be more than happy to explore these options.

My spouse and I, both retired and disabled, bought a timeshare after being subjected to high-pressure sales practices from Capital's team, and we were lied to about the terms. It created a significant financial situation that we can't manage, and we're now in a desperate position. We've already paid tens of thousands of dollars to this company. When we reached out to express our concerns and seek a solution, Capital denied our request to cancel both times. They told us our only way out of the contract was to pay an additional settlement fee of $53,000. We don't have these funds, and we feel our legitimate concerns about their predatory business practices are being ignored. We believe we were pressured into an agreement that we should never have been in, and being asked for such an exorbitant fee to get out is simply unmanageable and unfair. Resolution Sought We are simply asking for a fair and reasonable way out of this. A fair resolution would be for Capital to release us from this timeshare agreement without the $53,000 requirement. We understand we have financial obligations, but we cannot agree to an unreasonable settlement fee, especially given the significant amount of money we've already paid to Capital. We just want to move past this situation fairly.
