I rented from Capscott and put a security deposit in the amount of $1449.00. When I moved I wasn't given a check-in or walk through with anyone and when I moved out was given a checkout list or walk through. I was only given $814.00 back of my security deposit, They stated first everything was acceptable of the the check list but then stated cleaning was above and beyond. The apartment was cleaned by me before moving out. I have rented from other properties and have never had a deposit not returned. I have disputed this claim and they state I didn't clean which is false. I have witness's stating it was cleaned. I am a very clean person and even before moving out I kept the place extremely cleaned. When I moved in the carpet wasn't cleaned, dirt between the counters, walls not painted, faulty electrical which should be inspected. I have spoken with previous tenants and this is a pattern for Capscott. This might not seem like a lot of money, but it is and it's the fact they stated I didn't clean is a lie. Resolution Sought Refund the rest of my security deposit.
