I recently purchased a vehicle with car king March 6 2024.. the day I left the lot I noticed the car was driving funny then the next day the check engine light came on. I took the vehicle back to the dealership the next day Austin who is the Master Mechanic told me that it was just bad gas and I needed to put fuel injection solution in the tank . The next couple of days I kept going back because after he would clear the check engine light it would pop back on . He finally recommended me going to a shop a week later because I had a coolent leak to the point my car cut off on me on a bridge and I had to get it towed .. I had to pay to get a rental and a tow to the shop and I missed work and I'm losing money is I am responsible for a very expensive car note . It was unethical on their behalf because during purchase I did ask Brian the other associate what was all wrong with the vehicle and he proceeded to say nothing wrong with the car… I am a young mother of 3 kids on a fixed income I feel absolutely betrayed for being prayed upon . The vehicle is still currently in the shop and I have a payment due on the 6th of April I've only driven the vehicle a total of a week it's been in the shop going on two weeks now .. I take the bus to work or sometimes walk . Waiting on the vehicle I no longer want Resolution Sought I Would like to get my money back so I can go purchase a better vehicle for me and my kids . I also would like to get out of the bogus contract for the vehicle that will effect my credit score

Thank you for sharing Sharese. We do feel very bad about the unfortunate issues that developed with your vehicle. Unfortunately some check engine codes can be caused by several issues. That was the case with the code that popped up on your vehicle. It makes total sense to trouble shoot the issue and rule out certain causes before jumping to the worst case first, especially when there was not issues present with the vehicle prior to sale. However when you developed a massive coolant leak, we promptly got you into a shop we work with to determine the issue. It was determined the water pump failed causing the vehicle to leak coolant. Unfortunately the water pump is a component on your particular vehicle that can fail unexpectantly, and is a serious issue. The fantastic news, was the warranty that was included from the finance company, covered the water pump replacement. The check engine light was caused by a catalytic converter, which is part of the exhaust system. No exhaust components are covered by the warranty. Our vehicles are sold as is, which is made very clear during the time of signing. We inspect every vehicle very thoroughly prior to sale and cannot be held liable for issues that arise on used vehicles post sale. You instructed the shop working on your vehicle to start the warranty claim, which has now been in process of repair for a couple days as of now.
