Company Response

We would never sell a vehicle without full disclosure of a transmission issue unless fully disclosed. We did sell a 2008 HUMMER H3 with 178,499 miles on the vehicle on Oct, 11,2021 for $10897 plus tax & fees as/is, and they were fully disclosed and informed of this at the time of sale.
This vehicle was a local trade-in (by my next-door neighbor), they purchased it new, and the transmission was ever an issue before it was traded or when it was in our possession at any point. Prior to the sale of the 2008 Hummer, it was inspected through our service department. We performed an inspection that includes oil change, a/c compressor, and evac & recharge. Again, we had no knowledge that the transmission had any issues. Mr. Dedmon even had it inspected with the state of Tennessee if there was an ongoing issue with the transmission there would have been a check engine light on and it would not have passed that inspection.
We did receive a call from Mr. Dedmon on Oct 13, 2021, telling us that his son was stuck on the side of the road and the transmission seems to be out. He asked if there was any warranty on the vehicle and we told him that there was not because of the age and the miles. He responded, "I guess I am screwed then". We also asked him to have it towed in so we verify the failure to assess what was happening, and at no time did we think otherwise. Based on the review Mrs. Dedmom wrote on Facebook, we knowingly sold them a vehicle with a transmission issue, lied, and cheated them. At no time did we knowingly sell them this vehicle with a transmission issue, we have been in business for over 23 years, 25000 plus retail sales, and always sell our vehicles with integrity. We have an A+ BBB rating, thousands of five-star reviews.
We never heard back from Mr. Dedmon after that phone call and apparently, they chose to take the Hummer to another shop to have it assessed and repaired. They did not even give us the opportunity to verify the issue, otherwise, we would have and definitely would have helped them out financially at that time, but we were never given the opportunity.
