I purchased Carco's GAP insurance through the dealership where I purchased my vehicle. Several months later I lost the vehicle in an accident. I opened my claim, discovered they supposedly knew nothing about me, uploaded documentation from my primary insurer and bank that held the loan, and got nothing. I even had the dealership contact them directly on my behalf to give them the information they supposedly didn't have. Months later and they are still refusing to pay out.

This company is a total scam- do not purchase gap insurance with this company!

Purchased a gap insurance policy approximately a year and a half ago for 699.00. Car was totaled and primary insurance company (LibertyMutual) did not bat an eye at paying over 8 grand for the car. There was a balance of 849$ left at the bank and carco refused to pay a dime. Adjuster Chris Mazzola was the guy who got his crooked company out of paying a dime. This company is a total scam- do not purchase gap insurance with this company! I have had gap insurance before and had to use it and although that company did not pay 100 percent they paid a substantial portion, and it was several thousand. This company carco would not even pay a cent on the 849$ owed, leaving me to pay the balance to the bank. Most deceitful, dishonest and down right crooked insurance policy holder I have ever seen, and at 47 years of age and grown children that I have gotten cars for I've seen a few. Unbelievable and unacceptable- do not fall for this company's scam! Wonder how they sleep at night knowing they rip people off. There is no desired outcome except others won't fall for this company's scam - they won't pay so it is what it is. I hope they lose lots of business as I see I'm not the only one complaining about them.
