On 5/18/2021 I went to Cardinal Honda with engine and traction control lights on with my 2011 Honda Accord with 150,062 miles. They pulled code P0301 miss fire cylinder 1. Pulled plug and found all fouled out, possibly due to worn out cylinder. Recommended junk yard engine or new spark plugs "to get by temporarily". They said they could get a junk yard engine for around $4000. They recommended replace all plugs, fs57 lower control arm bushings, power steering hard line down the passenger side subframe, rubber lines on fs02 four wheel – align, replace 2 spool valve assembly with valve cover gaskets and "used engine". I had bought the car new from them and had all the maintenance and recommended services done by them. I did some computer research and found out that there had been a class action suit on this 3.5 liter V6 engine because this was a common problem and having done a lot of mechanic work in my younger years I didn't trust the word of the Cardinal Honda mechanics. I took my car to another mechanic and for $1100 they fixed my engine problem. They put in 6 new spark plugs, intake manifold reseal plenum gasket set, valve cover gasket, valve cover gasket set, (2) ignition coils and dis a gdi/pf1 2-step fuel system cleaning 2-part gdi all eng. The codes they found was P0300, P0301 and P0302. This work was done at 150,116 miles. I now have 152,120 miles on the car and it is doing fine. Resolution Sought send me an apology by email foe a misdiagnosis that would have cost me thousands of dollars.
