On Wednesday 1/10 I made an inquiry about the Nissan 370z that was listed for $16495. Sent up to go look and test drive the car on Thursday 1/11 around. On this day We talked and explained to the dealer our goal was to buy the car without a trade-in and with a co signer. Also , a 7000 down payment because we wanted the car to be financed at around 10k. Even though he pulled both my wife and I's credit, he then said he would be better for me to do it by myself. He also then suggested we could go to Carmax and sell the car to them and get a letter saying I don't owner or make any payments towards this vehicle and then come back and buy his. We told him we would sleep on it. Before we left he told us he is going to try and work out the numbers and give us a call sometime the next day. On Friday evening, he gives me a call telling me that he would have to bump the price up to 18495 but it would include gap, warranty, tags/title, and inspection. Also told us that the monthly would be 419 with 17 interest we agreed and made an appointment to pick the car up at Saturday morning. He let me know what paperwork and information I would need to bring with me as well such as bank statements and pay stubs. On Saturday 1/13 we arrive at 11 to sign the papers and pick up the car . We look and inspect the car again. Asked the dealer multiple times was x,y, and z included in the reason for the price bumped up. Answered my wife and I multiple times.
