A family vacation was booked in February for July. When we got to the property at 8081 Bengal Court we were not able to enter at the check in time of 4:00pm. We were informed there was an issue but some one was on the way to take care of it. They came we were allowed into the unit. There were little things that were not perfect with the house but it was nice. Went to bed only to have been bitten. Sent an emergency email stating the one bedroom had bedbugs. An exterminator confirmed there were bedbugs in the one headboard ( the fine print stated that if bedbugs were present you would have to evacuate, but it also indicated that all properties were inspected for bedbugs.) So if the units are inspected prior to rental they knowingly let us into a bedbug infested unit. The verbal agreement upon arrival at the office 6751 Forum Drive Ste 230 Orlando Florida we were informed we would receive a full refund. We were treated poorly, they informed us even if they had a problem nit to place us in they wouldn't but wanted us to pack up and find immediate lodging for a party of 18. Including my 2 year old great niece and my COPD stricken mother. They called the Sheriffs on us as if we were in the wrong. My party was visiting from three different states, we went shopping and had settled in. We did find other lodging but was never sent a full refund as promised. Resolution Sought My desired outcome is to be sent a written apology and the remaining refund due. For it wasn't our fault they let us into a bedbug infested unit and we weren't able to evacuate immediately as they wanted. We had to make sure we weren't transporting bugs after we found somewhere else to go ( which was an unexpected expense). Several of us lost additional money on other events that were paid for prior to us arriving, not to mention the memories that were destroyed.
