In April we purchased a car lift from this company for our business, The machine was used but guaranteed to be safe. When he came to install, we asked for a receipt/warranty, he stated he forgot it and would bring it. Everytime we ask he says he forgot and will not provide any document of proof of purchase. Once installed, they had to come out 5 different times for repairs, on the 5th time, we asked him to remove the lift from our shop. He said it was fine and good to use. Then in late July early Auguest, we had an incident with the machine, when a truck was on the lift, it fell and caused damage to the vehicle on it resulting in a total loss. The owner of the truck has filed a claim against our insurance and CBI refuses to take responsibility for the incident. He stated he was going to talk to his attorney, stating he didn't know if he could since a claim was already put in with our insurance. The day of the accident, he came and repaired the lift, and stated once again that it is good. We are afraid to use the machine and have not been able to access that part of our shop due to the liability that could come with this this defective machine. Resolution Sought Remove the defective machine and return the money we paid for the lift.
