We have been fighting a water leak in our rental house since the beginning of August, it was finally completely fixed and resolved around the end of September. They thought they had resolved it the first time thinking it was a hole in the roof when it was actually our HVAC unit needed replaced. After the HVAC unit was replaced we had a mold testing group come in and test the house. Resulted in the house having two kinds of black mold and several other molds in our ventilation system. We informed the landlords and they are not wanting to compensate us nor pay for the cleaning saying there is no mold on the house even though we had a professional company test and we sent them the results. My family and I have been out of the house for almost 2 months and still have been paying rent. Resolution Sought Reimbursement for testing, pay for mold removal, lower humidity in the house, pay for retesting. We just want to go back home.

I have been requesting them to send maintenance out to our place because the air conditioning is not blowing cold air. It have been totally replaced last year because they had neglected our request and the property owner was upset that it had gotten to that point and had blamed us even though we had documents stating we had known it was an issue. Now we are dealing with the same issue they have even gone to the point of closing open maintenance tickets, and just leaving our tickets on a sent to a technician status. We are currently 20 days in of running our AC with just a blower motor putting our electric hundreds of dollars over its normal cost monthly. Resolution Sought I just want them to contact us in a timely manner and address the issue. We've been good tenant's for over two years now and have always paid our rent in full, on time every month and think we deserve a little more transparency from someone who is supposed to make renting better than owning your own home.

The days following the initial maintenance request made it impossible to go out and diagnose the issue with the AC unit due to the weather being too cold for weeks. A second request was submitted and we resent it to our HVAC vender. We learned days later that the technician had fallen ill and was unable to complete the request in the near future. The next day we sent the work order to another vendor. They contacted the tenant, but could not go out for a couple days due to the cooler weather not permitting. Once they were able to go, the vendor did not immediately notify us of their findings. We received their diagnosis of the problem and quote for repair 3 days later. Due to it being a pricey repair, the owner has requested a second opinion. Again, the weather has not let that happen as quickly as all would like. We are scheduled to meet with the 2nd vendor on 4/22 to obtain a quote for repair.
