I have had an ongoing problem with Centerpoint Energy since November of 2022. The first 3 months they sent my bill to the wrong address. Once we figured that out though I still have been calling them every month telling them I'm not getting a bill. I've called repeatedly but still haven't got anyone to help with the problem. In the meantime every time I miss a bill that was never sent to me they add penalties. So my usage might $45 dollars but they add 100 plus dollar in penalties. I've had to pay repeatedly. Now here we are again they're saying I owe $520 most of which is penalties for the bills I haven received my gas is cut off and not only will the penalties they also will not work with me to pay it back. Meaning my children and I have no way to cook meals or have a hot shower for at least another week til I can hopefully have enough to ay it all. I'm a full time single parent it's not always to time up large sums of money and frankly it's not right to he penalized so heavy for bills I never received. Resolution Sought The best outcome would be for them to do what's right and take at least some of these penalties off my bill and fi d a solution to whatever has been keeping me from getting a bill. However centerpoint is an absolute garbage company and I have no hope of them doing what's right but at the very least they could take responsibility for their issues with their company and work with me on paying off this bill.

My bill is always due on the 18th of the month. But because they chose to read my meter early they billed me early so when I pay my bill on what I thought was early on the 15th they charged a late fee they are taken alot of money from there customers Resolution Sought Bill on same day that people always pay there bills

December's billing calendar was shortened resulting in the bill having less days of service and on earbet due date. January is back on track. Due dates can vary from month to month and may not be on the same date every month. The account was not charged a late payment fee of $4.35. No late payment fee was charged at all.
