Beware

This contractor did not meet our expectations. He initially told us that he had a team of people, which turned out to be him and his wife (and on occasion another young lady). His wife was rude and had two outbursts in my home—yelling and screaming at him about money issues. After the second outburst, we informed him that she was no longer welcome in our home but that he could finish the job. His refusal led to him calling the police on us and 5 police officers coming to our home because he reported it as a domestic disturbance. We were fair to him the entire time. My husband was also his non paid assistance the entire time he was in our home. Once they left, we could see some of the awful work that was being done and covered up. Also, small items we purchased for renovations are now missing from our home. We provided him with over 40% payment before the job was complete because he kept asking for advancements—-which was not a part of the contract. The language barrier also made it difficult to continue conversations about our working relationship. After he called the police and they confirmed that this was now a civil matter, he continued to call both me and my husband trying to get back in our home to finish work. He even went as far as taking a picture outside the municipal courthouse and sending it to us in what we deemed a threat to take us to court (which we welcome). He has even had a neighbor call us to try convincing us to allow him to finish the job and get paid more money. Be cautious of the company and of Juan Carlos Lopez and his wife/girlfriend Carla
