I have a contract with Chat Rays Media to produce promotional materials for my real estate business, with subsequent posting on the internet, consisting of 12 videos and 12 printed flyers in both English and Mandarin. Chat Rays Media is located at Chat Rays Media 100 Barranca St #490 West Covina, CA 91791 (888) 598-1688 chatrays.com The contract was executed on March 8, 2022, with delivery on July 2, 2022. While Chat Rays Media appears to be a U.S. business, production occurs in China. The video portion of the contract has proceeded smoothly with good working relationships and timely delivery. The same cannot be said for the print portion of the contract, which has yet to be fulfilled, some four months after the due date. Some of the difficulties I have encountered with the production of the print flyers include: • Failure to collate material in logical order per my instructions • Refusal to transmit proof materials in a legible fashion where files were transmitted via WeChat instead of normal e-mail. • Open hostility to me, the customer, when I asked for errors to be corrected. These issues were overcome by Chat Rays Media putting a different print flyers production team in charge of my project. Progress was smooth, with only an hour of work left when Chat Rays Media became unresponsive to me. I have repeatedly tried to contact the Chinese production team and Chat Rays principal in West Covina, Richard Ye, to no avail. As it stands Resolution Sought 1. Send editable versions of the flyers so I can finish editing myself. 2. I seek to have them complete their obligation to me within a week since I estimate only an hour is needed to finish the print portion of the contract. If they cannot complete them within the week, I seek a $600 refund for the over four-month delay.
