The advertised price for propane is currently $3.89 per gallon. The cashier is instructed to charge for the even gallon first and then charge for the 10's of gallons on a separate line item. I filled two 5 gallon tanks and received 8.9 gallons. I was charged 8 gal @$3.89 gal Then I was charged 9 -10's of a gallon @$0.47 per 10th. = $4.23. In other words, I was charged a higher rate @$4.70 a gallon. The clerk said she's only doing what she was told. I know this is a small amount, bit I still think this is illegal. I plan on contacting the Lincoln City, Oregon Chamber of Commerce to report this Fraud. Resolution Sought Stop fraudulent charges to the consumer.
