Puppy Mill

Adopted a "Labrador Puppy" after taking it to the Vet we found out that the dog has no Labrador in it. it is a Pitbull mixed with German Shephard. It seems that all the dogs from this rescue have the same story. Came from a farm........

This "rescue" is horrible. I'm scared for the puppies there.

About two and a half weeks ago, we adopted a beautiful 9 week old puppy from this "rescue." They gave us paperwork claiming the dog was "in good health" and did a test in front of us, claiming it was for Parvo, after which they asked us to sign a document saying we saw a negative test in spite of the fact that we had no idea what the actual test was or what it showed. Within an hour, she was vomiting. Within 20 hours, she was at the emergency vet with Parvo. We weren't sure she would survive. After 3 days and some intensive care, she came home (thank goodness). Four days later, she was back at the vet, this time with really bad diarrhea. Our vet determined she had a parasite, also likely to have been contracted at the rescue through the poo of the other litter mates she was kenneled with. I have reached out to Ms. Cox multiple times, and mostly have heard nothing, only that I was being too cautious / gullible taking her to the vet and that they "tested" so it wasn't their fault. I am deeply concerned by the flippant responses I received, the clear disregard for the wellbeing of the whole litter of pups, and the sketchy nature of the "testing" and paperwork they provided. And, of course, the cost for this care -- assuming our pup is fine from here on out -- is in the thousands. Please do not adopt from these people.
