Company states; To address the concerns expressed within the complaint, please refer to the following:
The retail NADA value of the 2017 Escape was $18,025. The vehicle was purchased at a sale price of $17,490, before adding in the payoff on the trade, sales tax, tags, any protection products purchased, ect.. The customer was provided copies of all of the paperwork signed during the transaction the day of purchase. Mrs. Anderer called in on 11/16/23, stating she never received copies of the paperwork. On 11/16/23, we emailed her another set of copies of the paperwork for her record.
Regarding the paint defect, the vehicle was outside of any corrosion warranty from the manufacturer meaning that the paint issue is not a defect. We provided her the option of getting the vehicle repaired at her expense through our collision center, which she declined. Customers are required to drive, demonstrate, and visually inspect the vehicle to their satisfaction prior to finalizing the transaction.
'In July 2023, the air Conditioner stopped working. It wasn't at the car dealership for month and a half, do you know? the time it was fixed.
I'm not sure what the concern is there but the AC repair was paid for by the dealership's complimentary warranty the customer was provided. I have the RO attached (upon request). I can provide more details if their' s clarification on this porting of the complaint.
The pre-owned vehicle, approximately a year after purchase, had a wheel hub failure. The vehicle was towed into our Ciocca Subaru Service Center in Allentown. The vehicle had wheel locks on it, Subaru did not have the wheel lock key in their facility so it was towed to Ciocca Ford of Quakertown to have the repairs completed. The vehicle needed a wheel hub as well as additional repairs from the failure of the hub. The customer states this was covered by their insurance. We could not replace the tire brand to match what was on the vehicle due to it being a brand we do not carry, customer declined alternative repair options (different tires).
We have offered to trade the customer out of the vehicle a couple of times now, however no agreement has been reached due to limitations from the customer. When purchasing any vehicle, it is the responsibility of the owner to maintain the vehicle to ensure operation and safety. Due to the customer failing to repair the vehicle prior to complete failure of the part, we will not be refunding the customer for the purchase of the vehicle. If there are any other concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out for clarification.
Best Regards,
Ciocca Ford of Quakertown
