Company Response
5/25/2022
Ms. Driggers, your vehicle was purchased on 3-24-2022. On 4-4-2022 your pickup payment(remaining part of your down payment) was due, which was paid on time. In your contract, it states your payments of $165.00 are bi-weekly(every other week) starting on, 4-18-2022. You were explained all of this as you were signing the paperwork to purchase the vehicle. For your 4-18-2022 payment, you made a promise to pay on 4-25-2022, which was never made. You then made a promise to pay $300 on 4-29-2022(i'm assuming since your next payment was due on 5-2-2022, which would've still left you $38.25 past due(including late fees), but that promise again, was never made. Your vehicle was repossessed on 5-4-2022, as you were a first and second payment default, which isn't free, therefore yes there is a repossession fee. Kyle is the Hinesville Store Manager, not the owner of the business, which spoke with me, the owner, and we gave you an extra fews days to try and gather your past due payments plus repossession fees, to be able to retreive your vehicle. You have 10 days from the date of repossession to retrieve your vehicle, by either catching up past due plus any fees or paying the loan off in full. We are a buy-here-pay-here, therefore we do not have to wait until you are 30 days past due before repossessions. We gave you many chances with your promises to pay(which we do not give any grace period on first payments, as it shows good faith) and each time they were broken. I do apologize that you went through "bad luck" but we worked with you more than we should have. Ana, with TRG Finance also informed you, that you have the possibility of being repossessed especially since you haven't made the first payment. We will not be given a refund of any kind, as we had expenses such as repossession fee, tax, tag and title, and etc. I hope you understand after this being explained to you. Thank you.
