According to Pepco I have been enrolled and billed by ClearChoice since December 31, 2018. I did not authorize ClearChoice and I have been billed by you as well as by Pepco. I do not want ClearChoice and I am going to file a formal complaint with both the Maryland Energy Administration and the Better Business Bureau for deceptive practices and I am demanding a refund of all payments made between December 31, 2019 through July 31, 2022. The ClearChoice Service Number is 0500 0813 2461 7001 8105 20 The Pepco account number is 5000 8132 461 I am also requesting an audit for all energy payments made between December 31, 2018 through July 31, 2022 to determine how much I have been paying to ClearChoice due to their deceptive practices. Also, I am requesting a complete 100 refund on these payments. Resolution Sought Refund of all ClearChoice Energy Charges since December 31, 2018 through July 31, 2022.

We emailed supporting documentation for the enrollment of the PEPCO account number 5000 8132 461 to dispatch@checkbca.org and lesterleach371 on 8/2/22. Since the documentation proves the enrollment was authorized, and the consumer did not contact us prior filing the complaint. We ask that this complaint be removed from CleanChoice Energy's record.

I did contact CleanChoice Energy and what I received was an offer of eligibility to sign up for CleanChoice Energy. This offer was 1) after the fact (since December 2018), 2) was not responsive to my complaint and 3) was an unsoliicited offer instead of a response to my complaint. CleanChoice owes me a refund for all energy charges since December 2018 as I never authorized this and any messaging that I received as deceptive.

We have searched our contact center records and we have found no calls to or from the phone number listed in the complaint (202) 910-4949. We have searched the entire time period for which we have operated as CleanChoice Energy. We did receive an email on June 8th 2022 from the email listed in the complaint. Here is the response we sent in less than 24 hours from the time we received the email: "Good Morning, Thank you for contacting CleanChoice Energy. We went ahead and marked your information as Do Not Contact. Please allow up to 90 days for this to go fully into effect as some company mailers are scheduled to go out in advance. Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with." We are willing to investigate further if the complainant is able to provide new information, but at this time, we feel that this complaint is not justified. Since the complaint is not justified we ask that the complaint be removed from your records. Please confirm when that is completed. Sincerely, Brian Thank you, Your Friends at CleanChoice Energy
