Me and my husband hired this company to manage our house in tarheel nc for ten years ..after the tenants were moving out we went to see the house and my house has so much damage I asked them why they never documented the damages and they had no answer we asked for the inspections they did and what they gave us had nothing..only to find out from the tenants they never did the inspections..when I asked for our money back the employee that was handing the property called me a angry black animal..I'm seeing them for my money back and I'm fa filing a lawsuit for her violating my civil rights with that racial slur..I have notified the news and I'm taking this everywhere until this company not only pays what they owe us but to make sure that type of discrimination doesn't happen to anyone else Resolution Sought Pay me what they owe us and I want this company to be shut down for the discrimination I went through..

The tenants for this property have not vacated yet. They are scheduled to be out 9-30-2023. The homeowners showed up to the property unannounced and the tenants claim they let the homeowners enter the property under duress. The tenants have lived in the home for 10 years. The property has undergone wear and tear over the years and does not look as it did in 2013 when the homeowners turned it over to our company. Our office does not usually report on "normal wear and tear." We inform the homeowner of any major damages and have done that over the years. We provided the homeowner with a stack of inspections for every year since 2013 with the exception of 2022. Stating we provided no information is a bold lie. When the homeowner came to our office on 9-11-23 (after she had forced her way into the property causing so much stress that the tenant's Lupus condition flared up) we talked about the status of the property. Rather, we listened while the homeowner yelled about the status of the property. We believe this homeowner's expectations of what the property would look like after 10 years as a rental are unrealistic but, we didn't say that to her. We sat back and listened as she berated us. We then agreed to meet with them at the property on 9-13-23 to walk through the home and discuss the property's status. The homeowner then claims she went to the courthouse and then back out to the property that day (9/11/23) and harassed the tenants again stating they were not upset with the tenants but with our office for not managing the home. It is the assumption of this office that the courthouse told her that rentals do get worn down over the years and that she had no case. We think that's why she started yelling at us to give her her money back. The following day (9-12-23) the homeowner came into the office to collect the 2 inspections we had for the year of 2023 and got in the face of one of our employees and whispered "if I don't get my money, they'll be finding your body." The employee repeated what the homeowner said to her (twice -louder) - "did you just say they'll find my body?!?" and the homeowner said "yes b****" as her husband rushed her out of our office and through our lobby where she kept repeating "I'm not the one b****" so loud that the other offices in our building had to close their doors because she was offending their clients. Our office then contacted the police department for communicating threats and filed a report. After this interaction the employee that was supposed to meet them at the property the following day (the same employee that was threatened) notified the homeowner and the tenant that she would not be coming to the property now that she's been threatened with bodily harm. We informed the tenants of the homeowner's behavior and advised them of their rights as tenants and notified them that the they could contact law enforcement as well if they felt uncomfortable at any time with anyone (including the homeowners) on their rental property. We informed the homeowners of what we said to the tenants and informed them that all further communication would be completed via email. It was at that time the homeowner wrote back saying that one of our employees called her a "black animal" and that we'd be getting sued for civil rights violations. This claim is completely false and there is an office of witnesses showing we weren't given time to get a word in edgewise-let alone a vile name calling incident as this homeowner has proposed. It's a lie. A bold, nasty lie that this owner should be ashamed of. There are people out there actually getting called names and her making this claim only deafens the situations out there that are really occurring. We get it. Her house is aged and doesn't look like it did 10 years ago. That is not the fault of this office. Some of it may be actual tenant damage but what we don't think this homeowner understands is that when you put a house out there for rent, it's going to be worn down by tenants. That's just what happens. Especially after 10 years. Our office has spoken with attorneys and we're assured that we've done what we were supposed to do. We really try to do right by people and be as fair as possible and this revolting behavior and outright blatant lies are really saddening and discouraging for a company that would never, ever do the things this lady is claiming. It's just awful and disappointing to know that there are people out here like this.

Everything this lady is saying is a lie..no courts told me anything and the tenants didn’t say any of these lies to this management..I was calling a black angry animal and because of that this management agency is trying to lie to cover their selves..I haven’t heart from any of there lawyers they say they have but they will be hearing from my lawyers as soon as the tenant is out cause now I’m sueing them for defamation for the lies they keep telling people.I did not threaten anyone. The tenants will be subpoenaed to come to court also being that they are the ones who told us the property management only came out there about three times in over ten years..I’m showing this complaint to my lawyer..I will be filing a civil rights lawsuit against the lady karlen for racial discrimination for what she called me.. my husband was also there and heard everything..I also notified the trouble shooters news so I can let everyone know what this management company has done..they can tell all the lies they want but I got all the proof I need just from what the tenants told me and I’m showing my lawyer this message from the company..they won’t get away with this behavior.a company that promotes r

We're praying for this owner and her family to find peace and financial security. We can't imagine what kind of distress they must be under to behave this way but we hope it gets better for them. That being said, we will not be bullied by threats, false allegations and outright lies. It's not fair and it's not right and the truth will rule out. We will not let this persons negativity and toxic behavior get the better of us. We wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.
