Purchased Sofa and loveseat for approx. 1,800.00 and a 5 year warranty for approx. 300.00. 2-4 mo. later recliner started pulling away from the love seat and still having trouble getting sofa and loveseat to recline correctly. After several calls they told me I needed to call the warranty place. Was never told it wasn't through the store! I called Guardsman and explained and was told to e-mail the problems. They finally answered and said someone would call me to set up appt. To check it out. That took several mo. From Oct. 11th 2022 to sometime in Jan. 2023. Furniture man came used the screws we had saved that fell from sofa and love seat. He took pictures put screws back in where missing but still not enough! He said he would tighten it up and it would help until parts arrived. Received box with parts late Dec. Or first of Jan. A different man and Co. Came out Feb. 15, 2023. Guardsman sent E-mail telling me I needed to file two separate claims. I explained the repair man took pictures of both and filled damage report on both. After many attempts to reach Guardsman several different people said they saw the pictures of both sofa and love seat and would e-mail the repair man to take more photos and report findings of damage to sofa. When repair man came he showed us how loose the recliner was and called his boss that explained no order was for the sofa but still he took photos of both. Guardsman will not discuss said items were not covered too long in reporting!!! Resolution Sought Cleo's make 5 yr. warranty THEY SOLD ME to honor or Guardsman to repair damaged parts. They sent a part and screws but say not covered. I dif. want my money back on the warranty if not covering trying to say Norman wear and tear with older couple and very little used! My pieces need to be replaced or total amt. Of money returned. I should have read their reviews from 2022 before purchase. They have done this to several elderly people. Or pay attorney fees and let judge decide .

Company states; I have spoke to customer previously on this issue. The protection plan she purchased is through Guardsman, not Cleo's Furniture. I have reached out to Guardsman to try and assist the customer. Guardsman denied her claim for several reasons. 1. Screws falling out is not covered. 2. Los of foam is flattening is normal wear & tear, therefore it is not covered. 3. Cushions sticking out is not covered. 4. The customer exceeded the 30 day report & document deadline. We have assisted the customer once before while in the 1 year manufacturer's warranty with a replacement. She is & has been out of manufacturer warranty and only has Guardsman.
