Customer Complaint

I've used Central Coast motors for their mechanic Oscar for years, my car went in in August for a minor repair, the lady that owns it has a habit of keeping him from getting to his customers cars on a timely manner. So in December when she fired him, I had to go pick up the car on a trailer was given no paperwork and upon having Oscar try to complete the repairs there were parts missing from the car. The car was also returned with a dent on the driver side fender. I have an estimate from another stop for the repair and an estimate for the body work that needs done because of the dent. She is denying that the dent happened while it was there and has tried to even deny that the car was there because of the lack of paperwork when I picked it up. I would also like to say that she tried to sell me an unsmogable car. Resolution Sought I would like the repair estimate paid and I would like the body estimate paid.

Customer Rebuttal

I was told by the bureau of automotive repair that the only thing they can mediate was the actual repair. Coast motors agreed to pay the estimate I got for the initial repair it went in for only. I am not satisfied as I still have the body estimate, tow bills for taking it to go get estimates and I went months without a car causing me to have to pay a friend to drive theirs. So, I am out around 1500 as well for an alternative form of transportation being left without a car from August until March while getting estimates and filing the claim. I was actually quite frustrated with bureau of automotive repair not being able to help me with the peripheral damage that was caused by my car being there for so long and the other damages done besides the repair that was not done in a timely manner. I still have around $5,500 total in damages that bureau of automotive repair could not assist me with, however they told me I was well within my rights to pursue other avenues to try and recover the remainder of the damages. As I understand it, bureau of automotive repair is investigating Coast motors due to the high number of complaints they've received.
