Coen Repair Services complaints

We hired Coen Repairs originally to replace some moldy drywall,floors and install a vent.Per there recommendation we agreed to a bathroom remodel.We paid $1,200 deposit and $1,250.00 for bathroom fixtures plus and additional payment of $400. He hung and puttied drywall on July 2nd and,we did not get to talk to him in person about the poor quality of work because he has canceled on us last minute everyday since then and hasn't been able to provide consistent availability to meet the est completion date. We decided we no longer wish to move forward with them as the work is awful and have been unreliable in showing up.We requested to be refunded the $800 originally.We had some other contractor come out and give us quotes and they are saying the plumbing and drywall need to be redone so now we are out another ,$1,1000 for labor to have drywall rehung plus material cost for drywall again and the out the money for fixtures we paid him for and have not received (toilet,backsplash,cabinet).I have a whole txt thread plus invoices showing what we have paid for.He is now saying the funds for the fixtures went towards work that was never discussed nor invoiced for and he should be technically charging us more.This has never been brought up before until I requested $800 refund for fixtures. I asked him for a copy of licensure for plumbing and electrical work,he is now saying he owes us nothing and doesn't have to give us proof of anything. We are seeking legal Resolution Sought We would like to be refunded at minimum for the fixtures $800 we didn't receive. Now seeing that we have paid him for work that isn't even quality enough to finish what was already started we are pursuing a lawyer as we feel he has falsely advertised services he isn't qualified to render. So if we could be refunded the the $950 for the drywall as well since it all has to be taken down and isn't able to be reused.
