I hired College Hunks to remove a piece of furniture for donation. It was an antique piece, they said it wasn't "donatable". They did not explain to me that the next step was to take an ax to it. I feel they couldn't move it as it was very heavy, and the ax was a solution. Resolution Sought I would like a refund in the amount of $270.48. Plus damages of the furniture for $500.

We performed a junk removal service on 5/19/21 for the complainant. This was signed off and paid for by the client that day. The furniture item in question could not be donated nor moved, so it needed to be disassembled to move it. The client contacted us for a claim already and it was denied. She is requesting more money than the cost of service, including $500 for the furniture she was already going to donate.

I have to say that I have not heard from College Hunks directly. Also, I had to pay that day, I was told I could file a complaint after. I'm not happy with the result of the decision. I am refusing the decision and want further action taken.

Company states; We tried contacting the complainant, but her number is out of service. We are reiterating our initial reponse. The complaintant hired CHHJ & M for junk removal and that's exactly what was done. A piece of furniture that was going to be donated could not be moved as is, so our team had to disassemble it to move it. The saftey of our team is always a high priorty. The complaintant is requesting a refund for the service, despite it being completed correctly, plus $500 for an item that was already set to be donated, not kept by the complaintant. She called several times before filing this claim online and this was explained to her by our Director of Operations Eric Natale. No further action will be taken by College H.U.N.K.S. Haung Junk and Moving. Thank you,
