DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I purchased what was supposed to be a factor location direct bolt on turbo for my Subaru. After paying the hefty $1,500 bill and waiting the 6 weeks for the turbo to show up I began installing. I had to modify a list of components just to make it fit and after all the work and money I found I lost a substantial amount of power. I contacted comp turbo to get some additional information and they told me if I sent the turbo back to them for them to make sure it was correct I would have to pay for everything. I have 100 miles on this new turbo and it is the worst turbocharger I have ever seen. The sales rep attempted to tell me it was my set up and everything must be factory to operate properly. After the very lengthy time of installing all the factory components I found out the turbo is still the issue. They claimed the unit would be at max boost at 3,400 RPM, when in fact it doesn't start generating low boost until then and max boost isn't achieved until 5,500RPM. I have completely lost all power band and the company refuses to do anything with any type of support. I was so disgusted with everything and due to the amount of cutting/ modifications needed to make the POS fit I am now unable to revert back to my original setup without having to spend another large amount of money on a different turbo and replace the components that had to be cut and paying the tuner an additional $400 to retune it again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Great Product and Great Company

I bought a turbocharger from Comp Turbo prior to reading these two ratings and I have to admit I got nervous, just because I wouldn't want this to happen to me. I'm happy to say though, my experience was totally different. Since I also work with clients, I thought I'd share too. I talked to Joe about my build and I mentioned a few different models that I was thinking about. After that he was able to help me decide the right size turbocharger that would fit what I was looking for in my build, he was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. When I placed the order he explained to me since the turbocharger is made to my specifications it takes about 10 business days and in about that time I got a tracking number. A few days later got my turbocharger and plus they also threw in a free sticker. I feel bad for these two gents that had bad experience with Comp, but as of today I can say I'm very happy that I bought the turbocharger from them.
