Consumer alleges she was misled to believe her insurance did not cover the new eye glasses. Consumer had her eyes checked and it turned out she needed glasses. She was referred to the sales representative for the order. In the process, the person asked her if she wanted certain features in the glasses, for reading, sunglasses, etc. She was never told there would an extra charge for any of that, she assumed everything was covered under her insurance since it was being offered to her. When she was done, she was asked to sign the order information and was told the total price was $326.00. She told the person she thought the insurance would cover them and she was told it did not. She made two payments and was able to pick up her glasses. Two weeks later she received a phone call informing her that the glasses were ready to pick up, she informed your office that it was a mistake because she already had her glasses. She was told that the glasses she had were the ones she paid for and the order that was ready were to ones the insurance paid for. She was confused because she would have never purchased a second pair if her insurance covered one pair. She called her insurance and they informed her that the representative at the optometrist office was supposed to have explained to her what her insurance covered, which was not the case. Consumer reached out to your office to get a refund and it was denied, she explained that your representative told her the glasses were not covered. Resolution Sought Consumer wants a refund.
