My husband died unexpectedly on 6/25/24. On 7/10/24 there was a thunderstorm in our area and I lost landline phone service as well as WIFI as I was trying to plan his funeral. I explained to Cons. Comm. I was 83, living alone at a dead end road, unable to use my security system because of no phone service and was very afraid. They'd come 7/22. On 7/19, when I was away, they came, with notice and left a note saying they couldn't do repairs since no one was home! When I called to explain they had told me 7/22, they said they'd already filled my spot and now it would be 7/29. They did come on 7/29 but the static on the phone line was so loud I could barely hear and any messages on my answering machine were completely garbled. On 9/05 they came again - said not phone problem - blamed my security system. On 9/06 alarm system repairman tested the line and said NOT their problem - noise is coming from beyond the end of my driveway. Phone problem FINALLY got fixed on 9/13/24. I feel that 3+ months of trying to get my phone fixed is unacceptable. They will give me a $68 credit for the time I was unable to use my phone. And I find that unacceptable, too. I've been asking for help for three months......at a time that has been extremely stressful with my husband's death, and also the fear for my safety without the alarm system. Resolution Sought I would like more than $68 credit for the terrible service I've received for three months. And would hope no one else would have to deal with this problem.

We have been with this only internet provider for our area for 20 years and they are so far behind the technology, our service has not been great for some time. Even had a tech tell me that they just cannot handle what our family of four requires which is no more than any other family, the real funny thing is a business 10 minutes from our location has higher services, I know cause I work there. How can this be ok and why are they the only providers in our area? I would not recommend them to anyone, their services are the most inconvenient I've had. I have to call every year for them to adjust my billing so for 2 months I have to pay a higher fee because they won't just credit what they already charges when they are called. Again they are the only provider so why should I have to call for billing adjustments, not like I can leave and go somewhere else. Resolution Sought Better upgraded service and credit do to all the inconveniences we've been through since living here.
