I had Wayne redo a master shower and bedroom. He was a nightmare to have as a contractor.

Wayne Kerry is a nightmare to have as a contractor. Everything was a problem. The shower & tile floors were the worst. He made my small shower over 8" smaller. Tiny! He lied when asked if he made it smaller. I Told him the mtg & ins co said there needed to be a 3-4" ledge walking in the shower. He claimed it was a "trip hazard." I said "Go ahead and instal it. " He didn't. Water leaked out of it. HE DIDN'T INSTALL A WATERPROOFING SHOWER PAN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOWER WHEN IT REQUIRED ONE or a new valve. The new vanity pipes were finger tight so it leaked inside the new vanity. He didn't have a plumbers license and did it himself anyway. Every plumbing item, shower, sink & toilet had to be fixed. Electrical fixtures were humming & flickering. The bottom of the shower floor has no slope and is flat like a regular tile floor and makes puddles. On the walls of the shower he used a material that says "Not to be used in showers." The tile is coming up in the bedroom and bathroom. When painting, He didn't cut in at the ceiling & left 3-4" unpainted. When questioned about it, he said "You can clearly see whoever painted it before used a different color!" He put the lock on the outside of the bathroom door so you could get locked IN! He tried to double bill me when the insurance was paying for the material & labor. He tried to get paid the balance before the job was done. I said no. When he thought he was completed with the job, I said, "You need to fix the shower." Inspector said "Well I can tell you right now it's not built to code."I said, "If you don't fix it, you won't be paid the balance of the job." He got so mad, he threatened my boyfriend. Wayne took me to small claims court so I filled a countersuit. Quoted 9k to fix what he screwed up. Small claims was only $5k. It took years to get to the end of the case. I gave him and his wife multiple 'outs' to only pay the 5k early on and we can be done. She offered me $3.k? I warned him, if you don't settle for the 5k now, I will go for more later. They decided to hire an attorney and fight me. They probably spent at least $20k in attorneys fees easily over the years!! (He's a male chauvinist) so I know it really crushed his ego and his male attorneys ego when a woman ALONE gave them both a spanking in the courtroom and won. He got a harder spanking for not ending it sooner, the small claims limit was raised to $8k so I won thousands MORE!! He said "I'm not going to pay her because it's more then what she originally asked for." He refused to fill his financial fact sheet so I had to call him into the courtroom again. A couple minutes before he was supposed to spill his personal finances to the courtroom, he wired the judgement money to me. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through with him. I felt compelled to warn others. The hurricane is stressful enough and he gives contractors a bad name unfortunately. He isn't on the web much for people to leave any reviews. He has a bad reputation.
