Cornerstone Tile & Construction complaints

Hired Chris to tile 2 shower stalls in our home. Paid him 50 down (4,500) talked with him on the phone and told him I was not happy with his work and ask him to stop until we resolved the issue. He later sent pictures and said he had continued. He told us to find someone else to complete the job. There is about 30 complete on 1 shower only and he was paid for half of the job upfront. It will cost us much more to have someone come in and finish the work. We expect to be reimbursed for the work that has not been done. His license # RTC-33080. Resolution Sought Reimburse us for lack of completion per our agreed contract.

Thanks for your provided update to this still unresolved situation. First and foremost we do not accept nor agree with the response provided by Cornerstone Construction. As was stated in our earlier responses, we have paid this company upfront funds (deposit) of $4500 for the full completion of (1) of the (2) showers they were contracted to install. To this date that commitment has not yet been satisfied! Regarding the contractors statement as to obtaining a full understanding of the project, and how certain aspects were to be performed, this was discussed repeatable upfront and during the partially performed installation. It was when we questioned his installation methods, ie; underpayment waterproofing, floor pan seal cracking, joint sealing methods and general tile pattern layout that he became confrontational and ultimately stated, quote "I'm done, get someone else to finish your job", end quote.Since this contractors departure we had received not one but two inspections of the partially installed shower and both parties have stated the worked performed was subpar in nature and below industry standards. As such, the majority of the tile previously installed will require removal
