Here's a concise revision: I believe the item cost $50. I'm military stationed overseas and couldn't get it shipped to my location. While in the U.S. on TDY, I ordered it to my hotel, but the seller delayed shipping. By the time it would arrive, I'd already left. I used Shippo to create a label and asked the hotel to forward the item. It never arrived. Shippo said the parcel was insured by XCover.com, but when I filed a claim, XCover denied it, citing their policy requiring claims within 30 days of the parcel being marked "shipped." My parcel never fully shipped—it's been stuck at a USPS facility since Oct 2. USPS requires waiting 30+ days to declare a parcel lost, but XCover's policy contradicts this, leaving me unable to recover my loss. Besides me, this affects anyone who didn't notice a clause that states for someone to report a claim BEFORE the standard wait time of 30 days. (Even though mine never made it into a shipped status) Resolution Sought I'd like a refund, but if that's not possible, I'd appreciate support in advocating for a fairer policy on claim reporting windows. Currently, claims must be filed before the parcel is officially deemed missing by USPS and other companies like Macy's or Amazon, which typically require a 30-day wait. This policy feels unfair to customers and seems designed to deny valid claims. Shippo postal labeling svc uses XCover as their insurance coverage. Please reach out to me if you need anything. Thanks.

Xcover.com is the travel insurance for Priceline. My disabled son is moving from Silver Spring Maryland to San Diego, California. Last Friday he could not make his one-way flight because he was exhausted and in a lot of pain from getting apartment ready for inspection before leaving Maryland for good. I called Priceline to inform them that I need to reschedule the flight for weekend or another day. They said no and to contact Xcover.com. It has been a week today and two claims later and no call no email besides automated "we will get back to you". There was an email from them asking for a review!!!! They have done nothing and there is no one answering the phones or emails. Just collecting consumer funds! I don't have $200 dollars sitting around to give to pretend travel insurance. I am disabled retired, on a fixed budget. Resolution Sought I would like a refund and this situation to not happen to anyone else!
