I brought my PS 4 pro to CPR cell phone repair which advertises as servicing all game consoles. I requested a cleaning of the heat sink and new thermal paste be applied. The price I am quoted is $25. Within 45 minutes of dropping my system off I receive a call from the tech I gave my system too that he broke my system by damaging the power connector from the power source to the mother board. Jacob, apparently a more qualified tech, was the person who could fix it and I would have to wait for an additional two days. The job for which I requested was only to take a few hours. At this point there is no guarantee according to Ian that a repair is possible. As such, a replacement system including shipping and tax is $500. This figure does not cover the in game purchases that would be lost because the data in the original systems hard drive could not be accessed. For my inconvenience, I am being given a 10 discount on the cleaning job which was quoted as being $25.00. I am sorry, but this is worth more than $2.50. Resolution Sought I either want my system fixed by Sony for the quoted price from them as $164.00 or a replacement system with the hard drive and all data taken from my system brought to their location and transferred to the new system. I do not expect a new system as mi w was about 3 years old, but I do not want, nor will I accept, a system of lesser quality and function.
