Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. Traded a vehicle in which I had originally had financed through Creative Finance back in June 2016. The payoff quote was supposed to be good for 10 business days- given quote of $11,322.13 on 6/18/16 they received the check on 7/1/16 in the amount of $11,322.13. Well within 10 business days. I have never received a phone call, a statement or any other form of communication from Creative Finance stating that a balance was still owed on the loan. Zero attempt at collection has been made. Today 5 years later 7/29/2021 I am reviewing my credit report and it is showing "one derogatory report" from Creative Finance for $0 listed as "charged off". I called them to inform them of the incorrect information reported to my credit and they tell me that I have a $28.25 balance. $10 of which is a late fee that was assessed after the payoff quote and the remainder she could not explain because she did not work there at the time but her best guess was that interest accrued after the payoff quote was given. I paid the $28.25 and asked that they retract the negative remarks due to no attempt being made to contact me about the balance. She refused. My phone number has been the same for 15 years, our address has changed two times over 5 years but mail is always forwarded and I have had no problems with receiving mail. This was a lack of communication from Creative Finance and my credit has suffered for the past 5 years due to their poor handling of my account. Resolution Sought I would like Creative Finance to repair the damage they have caused to my credit by removing all negative remarks from the past 5 years. I also believe that they should have to honor the original payoff quote that they gave of $11,322.13 and refund me the $28.25 that I paid them today.
