This company sent me several letters in reference to a settlement offer. I contacted them back in April and accepted the offer of $106 to prevent the payment from being reported on my credit report. The company accepted my payment over the phone and still reported the account to the credit bureau. I called and canceled the settlement offer because they defaulted on the agreement when I asked if I make this payment will it prevent the account from being reported and they said "Yes" that was agreed upon. I will file a claim with small claims court if this account doesn't get removed because this should be illegal trying to collect a debt especially when they have no clue what took place with the original creditor when I was disputing the account over two years ago before it got this far. Resolution Sought Removed the account or we can dispute this in court.
