I use State Farm as my insurance. I went to see the progress of my vehicle after engine shut down on busy highway. I had it towed less than 12 miles to a shop. My insurance company paid this tow company 530.00$ for a tow under 20 miles. I'm want to accuse the company of price gauging and would like an itemized list of what they charge my insurance company. I believe companies like these over charge insurance companies because they know they are going to pay without verifying the charges. My complaint is the insurance companies then raise rates on its customers to accommodate these price gauging companies. I looked up the average rate for a tow truck and the max price I seen being charge was 175$ unless the tow company had to use special equipment to pull the vehicle out a ditch or the vehicle was to heavy to tow. Resolution Sought I would like to have this business tow licenses to be revoked and an audit on the company over charging State Farm. I'm want to accuse the company of price gauging and would like an itemized list of what they charge my insurance company.
