Daku auto body Business took my money on Dec 21st, telling me my car would be done by Jan 2nd. I needed a door latch fixed. Single mom. Need transportation. Needed it fixed asap, relayed this to them. They were to fix a door latch. I was made to bring the car in for a inspection of what was needed in Dec 21st. The car was 'supposedly' looked at on the 21st to see what parts were needed. It is not my fault that they looked at the surface and didn't look further into the issue. I was there for a inspection to order ALL parts needed for the job being done! They did not in fact, look in the door, just AT the door and did not order all parts needed. They kept my money tied up for the initial part for 19 days. I was made to spend money to get transportation back and forth to work and my children to school. In snow none the less. I was told the parts were not ordered simply because they don't want to restock an item if it's not needed. Over 28 dollars worth of parts, mind you. They knew there were parts associated with the door latch and it very well could be needed. They also took my time to have the car looked at before they ordered. I physically came in for them to look at the door and what was wrong with it. So they had ample opportunity to order what was needed . The parts were not ordered over the business not wanting to spend the 28 dollars initially for them. Even though remember, the car had been ' inspected ' by them on Dec 21st. Resolution Sought I do not wish to pay any of their service fees. Just the parts needed. They did not do their job properly the first time when the car can in to be inspected. Time that i also took out of my day to sit and wait. They cost me 20 days and a monetary impact to gain transportation. As a business , they had their time to look at the car correctly and give me the appropriate information without assumptions. Why wait until a client is ready to come in to tell them you aren't prepared?? Unacceptable/
