I purchased vehicle for $6500 paid in full same day. Drove less than 1 mile to put 30.00 gas in tank. Drove about 2 miles and check engine light came on. When I arrived at my destination about 10 miles away, I parked the car. About 20 minutes later I noticed a puddle of liquid under car, and it was gasoline leaking. Notified business that same evening and he said car was sold as is. I took car to repair shop next day and $2700 of repairs were needed for replacing the eroded fuel tank and faulty air bag, and brake lines. Check engine light remains on still and diagnostic device at 2 different places say O2 sensor is defective. This issue was to be resolved when I paid Dalton a 1,000 deposit on the car. He agreed to repair O2 sensor then I would return to get car and pay the remaining $5500. He said it would be a few days because he needed to order the part and install. Obviously this repair was never completed prior to purchase and that is why the light came on so quickly the day I left the business. I notified him the same evening about the gas leaking and he said he would work with me. I notified him about the O2 sensor and he said I lied or Advance Auto had faulty diagnostic equipment. He also said the car was a 1 owner local trade in, however, I am the 5th title owner now. Resolution Sought I feel I'm entitled to 30.00 for gas that leaked all over my carport within an hour after I bought the car. Also I feel he should reimburse something for the $2700 repair bill towards the eroded gas tank, brake line issue, air bag issue. The vehicle wasn't even driven for 1 day before it was in a repair shop, and it was over 10 days before I could get the car back. He shouldn't be allowed to sell a car after he agreed to fix the 02 sensor, because he didn't fix it. He lied.
