Dan's towing towed my car and when I went to pay the fee to get it back they had to tow the car from where it was parked in the way back, back to the front gate where they lowered it and disconnected it in the process he did not lower it all the way down and the bar he started driving forward and pulled the front bumper right off of the car... I immediately called it out and they tried to say but they were not liable for it because it was damaged before they pulled it off the front of the car and they zip tied it together and released it to me... A week later the entire bumper failed broke off and I am now left with a pretty big problem I called them up talked to them about it and they said they were cleaning the liability. This is absolutely incomprehensible. When I had got that new bumper on there I had estimated it at highland collision in St Paul for $1,200 that is the price it is going to cost Resolution Sought Contact me to resolve.. there is room for negotiation. Also owning the responsibility is kind of a big thing with me as they have denied no wrongdoing. If they want to pay the $1200 to me in cash they can keep that stance otherwise that would be a highly important request for them to own their s***

In response to your letter dated January 20, 2022; the complainant was towed on December 18, 2021 by Dan's Towing & Recovery. He had been involved in an accident while driving his 2010 Chevrolet Impala with no insurance; police report states: moderate front end damage-bumper/fender damage-vehicle had taken out a yield sign. The complainant came to our impound lot 3 days after his accident. He asked if we would tow his vehicle out of the lot so he could change his tire as he did not want to damage his wheel. (We do not allow work to be done on vehicles inside the impound lot for liability reasons.) We towed his vehicle out of the lot for him. The bumper which had sustained damage from hitting the yield sign was hanging down. We did a temporary fix for him with zip ties so that he could drive the vehicle to a shop or home; whichever he chose.
