Decor & More complaints

On June 28, 2021 My husband and I visited Decor & More located in Schererville, IN. We explained to the woman working exactly what we were looking to change in our kitchen. She showed us several paints colors and informed us that she would have her husband give us a call. Later that day we received a call from her husband Doug, we had a detailed conversation and he requested that we send him pictures of our kitchen. Shortly after Doug text us a quote of $3,000. to paint our kitchen cabinets. We received and another text that night asking if all cabinets were visible in the picture sent. We sent Doug a video to show every cabinet in our kitchen. He then text back stating that the cost would be an additional $400.00. We responded back with "ok that"s fine". 6-29-2021 we signed a contract For $3,400. We were told to bring half of the money as a down payment, so we took $1,700. to the store. Four weeks after the project started Doug stated that there would be another charge for cleaning the the cabinet doors, "nothing Crazy", we asked how much more and he said he would call us that night to discuss, he never did. On 8-23-, 2021 Doug and Dan came to install my cabinet doors that they had painted. When the services were completed Doug presented an invoice to us for $2,000, when our balance was only $1,700. We told him he never told us an additional price. His wife called us 9-4-21 asking for 300. more dollars and we informed her that we signed a contract for $3,400. & that's I Resolution Sought I want to be left alone and stop calling asking for money when you have been paid in full what our signed agreement asked for, $3,400.
