Auto repair shop has had to my car for 3 months to replace gear shifter and steering rack. The car was towed to Deno's Automotive on 1/15. The owner initially demanded me to pay a $500.00 deposit. I didn't have $500 at the time of that demand. I could only afford to make a $300.00 payment, which I made that same day on 2/8/24 for the first payment and then they demanded I pay a remaining $1400.00 in full totaling $1700.00 which the owner Dennis and I agreed on verbally. Payment of $1700.00 was made in full on 2/22. As of today 03/19 the var hasn't been worked on at all. I spoke to the owner of the shop and he's changed the date the car will be finished 5 times since originally telling me the first date of 3/6/24. I've never had a mechanic shop ever charge me the full amount of repairs until the car is finished and ready to be picked up. The two contacts I have to the shop Dennis Thomas & Patrick) don't ever update me or respond back to me with an actual date or time of when the car will be finished. I was just informed on 3/18/24, the date the owner said the car would be finished (again) that they don't have the parts yet. He also told me that the part is more money than expected and asked me to pay him another $300.00 to buy the part to finish repairs. I reluctantly agreed to the $300.00 additional payment. Which I paid Dennis on 3/24/24. Car still not fixed 4/22/24. My car has been sitting there untouched with payment in full for 3 months with no parts ordered. Resolution Sought Return my car and the full amount I paid them $2000.00, plus the damage to the back seat for window being left down during the rains. After asking Dennis 3 times to roll it up.

We are currently working on this vehicle. We notified the consumer to get new parts.Customer refused to get new parts and want to use used part. We bought the part That was used, but it's not working to its ability.We notify customer again and recommend it new parts But customer refused. We're trying to get this car done using the parts and the budget that the customer gave us. She stated that the car's been here 3 months.That is true forty five days the car has set here. We notify customer, but no answer or return.Phone calls back to the shop. on the forty fifth day we found out The consumer's boyfriend was in jail during the time they left the car abandoned. So natalie called Requested that we still work on the vehicle.We stated to her that we were getting ready to do a lien On this vehicle because consumer left car abandoned for forty five days With no deposit no nothing given to us. Now that the consumer finally paid for parts.She wants to rush us and pester us and harassas us To rush and get the car done , which we're Trying to finish this car , but we're working with a small budget due to the fact is the customer Don't want to buy new parts..
