They hung up in me when I gave my name

I called to see if they could build me a granny flat and they were very rude to me. They said I don't want to talk to you and hung up it was my first call why are they allowed to be mean to a senior citizen I'm 67 years old and don't need to be treated this way just wanted info about a granny flat this is not good business practice thoughts
