I purchased a crown of lights diamond ring while on a cruise, I was insured by DI that the appraisal would be well beyond 43,000 when arriving back to the USA, they sent me to one of their approved sites for the appraisal and it came back less than I paid, I took it to several other jewelry experts who stated the highest appraisal value would be no more than any other diamond ring measuring the 4 c's, I have filed a previous complaint about this same purchase, I have even tried to insure the ring for my original purchase price, but no one is willing to insure a falsely overpriced diamond, I want either my full refund or some type of compensation, I'm considering taking legal action. Resolution Sought Make things right, provide a refund or be willing to take back the item and give me a credit towards correctly valued items.

At Diamonds International Nassau I bought a ring in August for $8300.00 came home had ring appraised,,,amount 2800.00...called Diamonds in New York..agreeded to allow me to return ring for store credit,...again was in Nassau purchased another diamond only to have it appraised at 2500.00..so stupid and trusting of me...now the only think they will give me is a $300. gift card..what can I do? Resolution Sought Refund me $5000 and I will keep the ring. Lose $800.
