We purchased a car for $6,000. Within 30 miles of driving it, the check engine light came on for multiple codes. We told the guy we did not want the car with problems. He told us he didn't know about the engine light on. He then refused to give us our money back after only a couple hours, saying he spent it already. We brought the car back the next day and he gave us only $5,800 and told us to get lost and that he was keeping $200 for the title. Even though we returned title with the car. He refused to give us our money back. He told us "no bad blood, leave now". We passed by the dealership again after 10 minutes of leaving and the car was back out front again. He didn't try to repair it or look into the multiple codes wrong with it. We think he reset it , he knows it has problems, and is going to screw someone else off again. He also showed up without keys, almost like he knew we might not buy the car and had to leave to get the keys from somewhere else. When we got there, he wasn't there yet and one of the workers made a comment "yeah take your pick!!" It was a really uncomfortable and confusing transaction. We are now $200 short for a car we returned 12 hours later for nothing. Resolution Sought We want the business to be investigated. We want our $200 he owes us back. We don't think he's an actual dealer, and he's friends with the owner maybe, and is simply using the lot to sell his vehicles on.
