Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

My previously healthy 36 year old boyfriend was in a horrible accident and shattered his spine, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. He had to temporarily stay at discovery after being discharged from the neuroscience unit at Southwest. He was on a great road to recovery, post-op was going great, he was healing well and learning how to use slide boards, belts, etc., to move. Within 36hrs of being admitted into Discovery Nursing and Rehab., he dramatically declined. He called me a few hours after being admitted to let me know that they refused to assist him, turn or rotate his body, help him go to the restroom, etc. After being told to wait to use the restroom, he couldn't wait any longer— afterwards, they refused to help him clean up. They left him for HOURS until I called the nurse myself. Within 1 day he began to develop sepsis, and shortly thereafter, was taken into emergency surgery to reopen his surgical scar spanning from his T-4 to his L-5 to clean it and prevent the infection he developed from getting into his spinal fluid and brain. I have never seen such negligence in healthcare in my life. He was coherent, able to communicate, young, strong willed and advocated for himself— asking for help repeatedly and getting ignored. Discovery was able to deteriorate his health in less than 2 days. I am mortified for the elderly individuals there that cannot advocate for themselves— I fear for anyones family member in their care. Resolution Sought Provide better care and support the the patients in their facility. Right now… my boyfriend is currently in emergency surgery because of sheer negligence. His first night was miserable and I was there to witness. As a healthcare worker and mandated reporter— I cannot turn a blind eye to the low quality of care given by this facility. Your night staff is complacent and neglecting the patients. This is abuse.
